Kalabchah


Devoted to the Nubian god Mandoulis, centre of important worship, it was raised by the emperor Augustus (63 before Christ-14 AD) on the site of a sanctuary of Amenophis II (1450-1425 BC). 71,5 metres long, 35,5 metres broad is the second larger temple of Nubia after Abu Simbel.
